Odyssey and all of the Dallas area had a snow day on Friday February 12th 2010. With over 12 inches falling over a twenty-four hour period, the Dallas area received more snow then we had seen in 30+ years.
When you call Odyssey, chances are April is answering the phone at Odyssey. She has the thankless job of trying to keep track of us when we are out of our offices. With thirty people in the office, most days we keep her very busy. Next time you call say hello to April. She will probably not have time to chat, but will enjoy your voice of appreciation.

Odyssey QAI February Meeting
Odyssey sponsored one of the first meetings of the newly formed Dallas Chapter of QAI QA User Group on February 16. The meeting was great fun. Ray Rivas kicked off the meeting and spoke about the QA Group. The speaker was Tim Trotter who spoke from experience about the different QA environments companies work with. It was great of Tim to share his experience. Of course pizza and networking took place before and after the meeting and presentation. Odyssey had a few door prizes to reward the attendees and make others wish they had been there for the education and fun. Here are a few pictures and the presentation Tim gave. The interaction with peers and sharing experience were the most valuable part, so plan to attend next months meeting.

Dallas TechFest is a multi-technology, multi-disciplinary developer conference held this year it was held on June 19th 2009 at the beautiful Westin Stonebriar Resort in Frisco, TX. Completely organized and run by members of the local community, this year over 400 developers and architects turned out for 8 tracks and 40 sessions covering advanced topics in .NET, RIA, Java, Flex, Cold Fusion and Ruby.
