A major airline contracted Odyssey for a large Marketing project. We provided senior design and development for this reservation system. The ease of use, security and reliability of this system greatly contributed to the companies’ tremendous growth in online reservations. A global oil and gas company challenged Odyssey with a short notice, multi-resource project, requiring system support analysts experienced in NonStop Tandem, POS systems. Odyssey’s recruiting staff was able to provide all of the consultants required and remained within the client’s contract budget. The success of this and additional projects has resulted in Odyssey’s recognition as a “Top Performing Vendor” at the client’s annual vendor recognition program for four years in a row. Odyssey increased system uptime from 80% to 99% which represents a savings in the millions. A pharmaceutical company asked Odyssey to provide high level developers, with specialized skills in the industry, to design and develop an automation engineering system for capturing, transmitting, and processing orders. This system extends the virtual enterprise out to the customer by providing local processing and seamless transfer of data consequently shortening and optimizing the sales order cycle. The success of the project resulted a higher level of customer service and the direct hire of two Odyssey consultants to support the application. A nationwide retail chain challenged Odyssey to staff multiple projects simultaneously. Odyssey placed an architect and several leads on a project to implement an enterprise data warehouse. Odyssey's leads and developers successfully implemented a European UPC conversion. Odyssey successfully architected and implemented Test Director which resulted in a corporate-wide implementation. Odyssey continues to provide Analysts, Managers and developers to ongoing projects. An international credit card company was in need of a Senior ATM Architect to assist in the construction of a new ATM network. The goal was to grow their current business from 1800 ATMs to over 18,000 ATMs nationally. The difficulty in finding this level of resource was that the client has a proprietary application that is very verbose and highly complex with no current Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) application that would also interface into their back office applications. Our consultants worked within the Applications Support group for both infrastructure and business applications. We have multiple Senior developers working on their settlement application, and three consultants supporting the implementation, technical documentation and testing areas. |
